Chris has been an active member of the PGA of America (Professional Golf Association of America) since 2007. He began his career with Troon in 2007 as a Head Golf Professional at The Peninsula Golf & Country Club in Millsboro, DE. Chris has management experience in New England as a Head Golf Professional at Manchester CC (NH) from 2010-2012 and as Director of Golf at Lake of Isles in North Stonington, CT from 2013-2016. In 2016 Chris assumed the role of General Manager at Palmilla Beach Golf Club in Port Arkansas, Texas. The course at Palmilla Beach was decimated by Hurricane Harvey in August of 2017. It was then that Chris started the first of three special short term assignments as general manager for Troon. The first was at Thanksgiving Point Golf Club in Lehi, Utah, where he was tasked with training the permanent GM (an existing member of our client’s management team in an unrelated field). Next Chris helped guide Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, New York as they transitioned from third party management to an equity manager. Most recently, Chris lead the management team at Tam O’Shanter in Brookville, New York and helped to organize the planned and purposeful (residential build out) closing of the club earlier this spring.
Chris has had a passion for the hospitality industry for as long as he can remember. He is very appreciative and humbled at the opportunity to lead the team at Ocean Edge and looks forward to getting to know all of the club’s members in the very near future.
